Since it began in 2021 the St Mary's Parish Fair has grown from strength to strength and this year is no different with the upcoming event expected to be the biggest yet.
Back in 2021 St Mary's Parish priest Fr Sunny Jiss had the idea to hold the fair as a way of bringing the community together on the heels of the COVID-19 pandemic, today the event continues in the same vein all with the emphasis on raising funds for local charities.
Though Fr Jiss is currently in India he has left the organisation of the event in very capable hands and will make his return to Young the day before the Fair.
"This is the third year of the Fair," supply work to the Young Parish Fr Allan Crowe said.
"Fr Jiss came up with the initiative to bring healing to the community following on from the pandemic."
